Our Church

A Word from Our Senior Ministers

I’m writing this note from Karen and myself en route to Cambodia to meet up with the pastors of Apostolic Fellowship Cambodia (our churches in Cambodia). We are thrilled to have this opportunity to meet with and champion these wonderful men and women of God. What a privilege Dreambuilders Church has of supporting ministries in our neighbouring Asian countries both prayerfully and financially. We are particularly pleased to be spending some time on the mission field so soon after our Advance Conference on the last weekend in May.

May and June were certainly great months in the life of Dreambuilders Church. The build up to our annual Advance Conference was excellent, particularly celebrating Pentecost Sunday the weekend before the conference. It was very exciting to see so many attending the missions conference prayed up and ready for what the Lord wanted to do in and through us as a church. The Advance Conference theme was “One Heart”. We wanted to align our hearts with God’s heart for the nations and we did. We also experienced a greater sense of unity in the church, which was brilliant. We launched the Dreambuilders Community Care Centre ministry during the Advance Conference and the ministry is now in full swing at 3 Marion Street Midland. We know that the Lord will touch many lives in our community through this vital ministry. In June we held our annual Youth Camp – “Encounter”. It’s always a powerful time in God for our teenagers and their ongoing passion for God has a very positive impact on our church family.

Throughout the month of July we as a church are focussing on prayer – we’re “Praying through July”. Our Saturday night services will include extended prayer times and we’ll be asking everyone that calls Dreambuilders Church their home to set aside time each week to pray for all aspects of church life. During July we’ll also be praying for the various mission fields we support. Prayer is a key to church growth and Kingdom expansion. Prayer must be a priority all year round, but focussing on it in July just reinforces that fact and spurs on further into prayer for the second half of the year.

God has great things in store for us as a church in the second half of 2010, so be prepared for what God wants to do in and through you in the coming months. We love building the church in partnership with you.

love and blessings,

Dale and Karen
